Staking Technician Certification Program: NESC and Utility Specifications, Sept. 30-Oct. 2, 2024

Course Overview:

This one-and-a-half-day course is part of the Staking Technician Certification Program and covers the process to obtain permits for rights of way. Today, property owners are more reluctant to give right-of-way easements for overhead or underground power lines. Consequently, utilities are making more use of existing public rights of way, which requires permits obtained from the governing agency.

In this course, you will learn what information is required on a permit and go over preparation of permit documents and drawings. You will also explore methods you can use to set up an efficient permitting process and find out how good personal contacts can ease that process.
