Who Should Attend:
Engineers, line workers, substation workers, apprentices, and support staff that have direct responsibility for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the utility's distribution system. (Pre-requisite: It is highly recommended that students complete Electric Utility System Operations before attending this class. Those who do not must have substantial experience in the basics of electric systems and utility operations.)

Course Overview:
This popular one-day course provides in-depth coverage of an electric utility's distribution system, from the distribution substation to a customer's outlet. Topics covered include substation transformers and testing; step and touch potential; various systems which customers may request, such as single-phase and three-phase power; details of overhead and underground electrical systems; reliability; transformer and capacitor details; and substation communications.

reservations require a non-refundable room deposit equal to one night's stay
that will be charged to your credit card at the time your reservation is made.
If you cancel or reduce your reservation within seven days of your date of
arrival, your credit card will be charged a minimum of a two nights' stay (one
