Details:

This course is held in two segments at Clark Public Utilities in Vancouver, Washington. The first two days will be May 14-15 and the final two days will be June 11-12.

Overview:

In this four-part course, you will be introduced to a variety of critical warehousing topics. Each day will cover a new topic.

Day one: Introduction to Utility Warehousing provides a thorough overview of the logistics and warehousing functions, as well as storage, materials handling, and automation. You will also address how to effectively deal with everyday operations and stakeholders.

Day two: Receiving, Shipping, and Safety provides a working knowledge of these warehouse processes. You will also cover safety and risk management concepts from a warehouse focus.

Day three: Inventory Operations and Materials Management addresses the physical and documentation aspects of these processes. You will review a case study to develop shared improvement ideas for warehouse operations. There will also be a guided warehouse tour at Clark Public Utilities.

Day four: Inventory Control, Automation, Returns, and Supervision addresses understanding and relating to warehouse management and supervision requirements.

Schedule:

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. Pacific Time, and the class will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on all days. Lunches and refreshments will be provided.

Note: Organizations that register a group of employees will receive every fifth registration for free. For example, if you register five employees, you only pay for four; register 10 employees, you only pay for eight; and so on. There is nothing additional you need to do to receive this discount. 

Cancellation Policy:

For webinars, virtual classes, and section meetings: cancellations at least five days prior to the event will receive a full refund; within 1-4 days or no show, the charge will be 100% of the registration fee.

For in-person events: cancellations at least 30 days prior to the event will receive a full refund; within 15-29 days there will be a $100 fee; and within 1-14 days or no show, the charge will be 100% of the registration fee.

Continuing Hours:

This course qualifies for 12 continuing hours. Certificates are issued upon full completion of the course.
