Conference Overview:

The Northwest Innovations in Communications (NIC) Conference is designed with public power communicators in mind. This year the NIC returns in person to Build Bridges and Break Barriers in the Bridge City. Keynote speakers will help you build those bridges and break the barriers with general sessions addressing changing media relations, diversity/equity, inclusion, communicating energy services, crisis communications, and more. Breakout sessions will dig deeper into more specialized topics such as social media, internal communications, video, customer/member engagement, podcasts, website design, and more. Roundtable sessions will provide a perfect opportunity to share ideas and innovative solutions face to face with your peers. New this year: NIC Talks! Five mini-sessions in 75 minutes. Plus, you will get to vote for your favorite photos at the Welcome Reception on Monday evening and celebrate Excellence in Communications winners at the award banquet on Wednesday evening.

Course Location and Hotel Information:

Room rate: $189 for a king or two queen beds

Please book your room as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, September 20, 2021, to secure this rate. Mention that you are coming in with the NWPPA - NW Communications Conference group when booking your reservation.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations are accepted with a full refund as follows:

For webinars and virtual classes, if the request is made at least five days prior to the course, then 100% of the registration fee will be refunded.

For in-person events, the following fee structure applies: cancellation at least 30 days prior to the event, full refund; within 15-29 days, $100 fee; and within 1-14 days or no show, 100% of the registration fee. When possible, please send a substitute instead of canceling because NWPPA does not charge a fee for substitutions.

Continuing Hours:

This course qualifies for 15 continuing hours. Certificates are issued upon full completion of the course.
