Who Should Attend:

Staking Technician Certification Program: NESC and Utility Specifications, October 18-20, 2021
This one-and-a-half-day course is part of the Staking Technician Program. Today, property owners are more reluctant to give right-of-way easements for overhead or underground power lines. Consequently, more use is being made of existing public rights of way. To do this, permits must be obtained from the governing agency. This module of the staking program covers:
- The information required on a permit
- Methods to set up an efficient permitting process
- How good personal contacts can ease the process
- Preparation of permit documents and drawings
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. on day one; the class will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST on day one, and from 8:30 a.m. to noon PST on day two. Lunch will be served on day one; refreshment breaks will be provided on both days.
