Who Should Attend:

Utility leaders, lawyers, managers, compliance staff, and human resources employees who are navigating the new federal policies associated with COVID-19.

Webinar Overview:

With an effective date of April 1, employers across the country are preparing to implement the new federal paid sick leave and federal emergency paid family leave provisions. The problem is that the rules' lack of clarity and specificity is generating a lot of questions about how to interpret and apply the new requirements. Add to this confusion questions about how to handle employee concerns about working, a reduction or increase in business, physical distancing, and the intersection of state-mandated paid leave and regular state and federal family leave, and we have a giant mess. Join us for this participant-driven webinar where we will discuss the new federal law requirements, best practices for interpretation and implementation, furloughs, layoffs (if applicable), application of attendance policies, employee OSHA complaints, and other COVID-19 workplace concerns.

Webinar Instructor:

Jennifer Bouman-Steagall, Red Kite Employment Law
