All utility employees, regardless of position or responsibility, need to understand their chosen business. The more they understand the complexity of the electric utility business, the better they can serve and integrate with their co-workers, consumers, and other stakeholders. This one-day course is designed to acquaint non-technical employees with the basics of electricity and the electric system, including generation, transmission, and distribution. Special attention will be given to public power and its role in the development of the North American grid. Attendees will leave with a deeper knowledge and greater appreciation of the utility business model. Information on each person’s state and region will be provided.
