Who Should Attend:
Line and other operations personnel, such as metering, service, engineering, and other individuals who require understanding of AC theory and how it relates to equipment used to troubleshoot problems.
Course Overview:
The course will cover troubleshooting problems and what to look for in single-phase problems; how to fix three-phase problems from wrong voltages and how they occur, and how to give alternative solutions to solve the problems; and equipment used to solve problems and how it works electrically. The course will review series and parallel circuits, fault currents, and troubleshooting flow charts. Participants will gain an understanding of single-phase and three-phase problems of all kinds; what causes ferro-resonance; emergency alternatives to field situations; the equipment and troubleshooting; and safety hazards that are of concern in shooting three-phase transformer banks and three-phase capacitor banks.
Important: Please bring your safety glasses and gloves to the class.

Course Schedule:
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. on the first day, and the class will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., both days. Lunch, as well as morning and afternoon breaks, will be provided.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations are accepted, with full refund, if request is made at least 30 days prior to the course. Within 30 days, fees are as follows: 15-29 days, $100; 1-14 days or "no show," 100 percent of registration fee. When possible, please send a substitute instead of canceling. NWPPA does not charge a fee for substitutions.
Continuing Hours:
This course qualifies for 12 continuing hours. Certificates are issued upon full completion of the course.
