Overview:
This workshop combines two Manager as Leader series courses: Lead Teams and Coach for Success.
The first day focuses on leading teams. Very few would assert that teamwork doesn’t matter. We know it matters. Most of us can identify it when we see it. But do we actually know what it takes to create it? What goes into building and sustaining a strong team? Is it luck, work, or both?
Coaching for success is the focus of the second day. Coaching is the craft of today’s workplace leader. Your role as a leader is to help others succeed in their role. This is done by continually building your team’s capacity to succeed. This segment will provide a proven road map and set of tools to effectively coach others to higher levels of commitment and competence.
Objectives:
- Create team identity by clarifying purpose, people, priorities, parameters, process, and progress.
- Foster team trust and ensure team alignment.
- Facilitate team performance.
- Guide team transition: review and reinforce team success, and realign and renew continued success.
- Clarify why, who, and how you intend to coach.
- Clarify the goal or expectation and understand the strengths and needs of others in relation to the goal.
- Diagnose individual needs and apply the appropriate coaching approach for those needs.
