Fall Lineworker Boot Camp, Nov. 2-5, 2026
Overview:
Back by popular demand in 2026, we are again offering two Lineworker Boot Camps—a Spring Lineworker Boot Camp and a Fall Lineworker Boot Camp—each condensing a selection of our most requested Lineworker Skill Series classes into four intensive, hands-on days. This is not a class where you’ll be watching PowerPoints—come prepared to work! Wear your boots and flame-resistant clothing so you’ll be ready to actively participate in real-world scenarios and practical exercises throughout the week.
During this boot camp, you will complete sessions designed to strengthen technical skills and safety practices, including:
Rigging
This hands-on session focuses on using proper rigging techniques, building safety awareness, and addressing common field challenges.
Advanced transformers
Building on foundational transformer knowledge, this session covers advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational strategies for pole-mounted and underground residential distribution (URD) transformers.
Troubleshooting overhead and underground systems
This session includes practical exercises and instruction on diagnosing and resolving faults in overhead and underground systems.
Switching
This session features techniques and safety protocols for switching operations in various linework scenarios.
Confined spaces
This session teaches safety practices, hazard identification, and compliance for working in confined spaces.
Testing meters and equipment
This hands-on training covers the use and interpretation of test equipment and meters essential for linework.
Roundtable
The boot camp concludes with an interactive roundtable discussion, allowing you to share experiences, ask questions, and discuss best practices.
