Accounting staff and anyone who wants to understand how each role in the utility impacts the budget and financial statement. We suggest that you first attend Understanding the Work Order System before attending this workshop.
Overview:
This is a one-and-a-half-day interactive extension of the Understanding the Work Order System course. The objective of this workshop is to evaluate and elevate the baseline learning from Understanding the Work Order Systems. The two takeaways from this day will be “So what?” and “What’s next?”
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the basics about assembly units starting at the engineering spec book and on the staking sheet.
- Understand the steps within your inventory processes, audit recommendations, and how to establish a system that minimizes loss of inventory.
- Discover the importance of maintaining current standard costs.
- Consider loan preparedness, risk management, and planning measures.
- Analyze work plan status.
- Explore labor review best practices and discuss how many options are too many options.
- Learn how to report the status of your plan.
- Explore the impacts of converting special equipment to using the inventory process.
- Discuss efficiencies, team building, and improvements.

Cancellation Policy:
For webinars, virtual classes, and section meetings: cancellations at least five days prior to the event will receive a full refund; within 1-4 days or no show, the charge will be 100% of the registration fee.
For in-person events: cancellations at least 30 days prior to the event will receive a full refund; within 15-29 days there will be a $100 fee; and within 1-14 days or no show, the charge will be 100% of the registration fee.
