Course Overview:

Do you really know what it takes to be interviewed in today’s digital world? From what to do when a customer, or “concerned citizen,” puts a cellphone in your face and hits record, to how to control the narrative of a traditional media interview, to how to survive the “gotcha” questions we all fear! During the first half of this one-day class, you will learn “How Not to Become YouTube Famous!” You will learn how to prepare for an interview as well as how to control the narrative of that interview. After lunch, you will participate in and observe mock interviews to practice what you have learned and discuss the strategies used.

Course Objectives

  • Recognize a potential social media disaster before it occurs.
  • Learn how to be customer focused and informative instead of saying "no comment."
  • Become more comfortable in front of the lights and camera.
