Microsoft Word Deep Dive Workshop - CANCELLED

Who Should Attend:

Any users of Microsoft Word who would like to enhance their skills, learn expert tips, and receive advice to improve performance with their daily duties.

Workshop Overview: 

Develop a mastery of your Word documents in this two-part workshop.
The morning will focus on learning skills that can help you with any type of Word document, with an emphasis on building contracts, procedures, and manuals.
In the afternoon, we will look at ways to clean up problem Word docs by utilizing some of your new skills from the morning as well as multiple find/replace techniques and other ways to sanitize documents.
As this is an interactive workshop, you are encouraged to bring your own problem documents to class in order to apply the techniques to a real-life document.
A quick-reference guide will be provided that includes highlights of the course content, as well as additional tips and tricks.
Note: Please bring your laptop. A rental laptop can be provided for $20 if pre-arranged with roy@nwppa.org.

Workshop Objectives:

In this workshop, you will learn to:

  • Use advanced selection techniques.
  • Create and use character, paragraph, and heading styles.
  • Use the navigation pane for navigation and organization.
  • Use outline view.
  • Automatically create a table of contents.
  • Work efficiently in headers and footers.

Note: Organizations that register a group of employees will receive every fifth registration for free. For example, if you register five employees, you only pay for four; register 10 employees, you only pay for eight; and so on. There is nothing additional you need to do to receive this discount.

Cancellation Policies:

For webinarsvirtual classes, and section meetings: cancellation at least five days prior to the event, full refund; within 1-4 days or no show, 100% of the registration fee.

For in-person events: cancellation at least 30 days prior to the event, full refund; within 15-29 days, $100 fee; and within 1-14 days or no show, 100% of the registration fee.

If canceling because the attendee is showing COVID-19 symptoms any time before the event, a full refund will be issued; if leaving during the event for COVID-19 reasons, a prorated refund will be issued.

Continuing Hours:

This course qualifies for 8 continuing hours. Certificates are issued upon full completion of the course.
